Southwest Institute of Healing Arts invites you to take a personal transformational journey with the Associate of Occupational Studies Degree (AOS) in Mind-Body Transformational Psychology ONLINE. The students who study at SWIHA come to believe healing is more than just one-dimensional. Students come to understand that real healing takes place on many levels – body, mind and spirit. This program emphasizes the power of balancing these three levels.

As part of this amazing degree, you will also earn your 600-hour Holistic Wellness Practitioner diploma, which includes several specialty, concentration, and elective options. Students go through self-healing and transformation as they learn to assist others in doing the same. Choosing to pursue the AOS degree in Mind-Body Transformational Psychology Degree is not only choosing to go into business for yourself but also choosing to design your own destiny.

What is the curriculum?

We have designed the Mind-Body-Transformational Psychology Degree Program with four major components: General Education courses, Mind-Body Core courses, Transformational Psychology and Spiritual Studies courses, and the Holistic Wellness Practitioner diploma program.

As is the case with most of our degree programs and many of the diploma programs at SWIHA, students take a primary specialty that best expresses their ‘gifts’. Students enrolled in the AOS degree in Mind-Body Transformational Psychology will take the Holistic Wellness Practitioner diploma as their specialty.

Earn more than just a degree.

Students who complete our AOS in Mind-Body Transformational Psychology program don’t just graduate with a degree—they also earn a diploma in Holistic Wellness, a certificate in Life Coaching, and depending on their selected specialty and concentration combination, can also earn a certificate in Urban Farming or Hypnotherapy.

What can I do with an AOS Degree in Mind Body Transformational Psychology?

Mind-Body Transformational Psychology

This program is unique, in that it is a journey into personal transformation. Students who graduate from the Mind-Body Transformational Psychology Online Program will enter the field as independent practitioners or in tandem with licensed mental health care workers, hospices, hospitals, and elder care facilities. Their entry-level training will include self-empowerment, death and dying, developmental stages, growth and trauma, chemical dependency, various religious belief systems, alternative lifestyles, professional boundaries, and ethical communication. Graduates from this program may work in rewarding careers at elder care and mental health facilities, hospitals, hospices, and establishments that require training in; individual empowerment, growth and trauma, developmental stages, chemical dependency, religious belief systems, and/or ethical communication. Additionally, with the skills learned in the Holistic Wellness Practitioner Diploma program, many students aspire to own their your own holistic health and wellness business, where they may serve as Holistic Nutrition Coaches, Urban Farmers, Professional Hypnotherapists, or Ordained Spiritual Celebrants.
